2. A Google spreadsheet add on which can be executed as Excel function like SUM (or any other familiar function) which can calculate simple characteristic how "green" the building's surrounding is.

The service allows users to estimate the “greenness” of a building's (asset’s) location. For this purpose, the area of green spaces is calculated using open sources of cartographic data. The ratio of this “green” area to the total area within the geometry is then calculated. Green space includes parks, flowerbeds, etc. The size of the area to be analyzed is determined by the radius (in meters).

Use function =GREENDEX(P1, P2) with two parameters:

• P1. First parameter, address as text. Example: Berlin, Neustädtische Kirchstraße 4-7
• P2. Second parameter, radius for area in meters. Example: 500

As is clear from the description of the indicator, it can vary from 0 to 100. But to understand how good a number is obtained for the selected asset, it is better to have statistics on several launches.

For example, using the greendex service the benchmark for Berlin was prepared:

On the map is shown green index evaluation for randomly chosen points in administrative boundaries of Berlin in buildings extent.

In this way, the obtained value can be compared with other buildings in Berlin and it is possible to figure out whether it is "greener" than other objects.

Registration & Passwords

To use some of the features on the greendex services, including the https://api.greendex.wiredhut.com API, you may be required to create an account. Any required fields that are submitted as part of the registration process must be accurate and complete.

You are solely responsible for activity that occurs on your account. You should keep your password and/or API key confidential and agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Use of Data and Content

Subscriptions

Some parts of the Service are billed on a subscription basis (“Subscription(s)”). You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (“Billing Cycle”). Billing cycles can be set as 10 days, monthly, quarterly or annually, depending on the type of subscription plan you select when purchasing a Subscription.

At the end of each Billing Cycle, your Subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it or Wiredhut cancels it. You may cancel your Subscription renewal either through your online account management page or by contacting Wiredhut’s customer support team.

A valid payment method, including credit card, is required to process the payment for your Subscription. You shall provide Wiredhut with accurate and complete billing information. By submitting such payment information, you automatically authorize Wiredhut to charge all Subscription fees incurred through your account to any such payment instruments.
